Chapter 11 - Ignoring Problem Behavior

What Is Ignoring?

Ignoring is one strategy for reducing inappropriate behaviors. It can be a very effective strategy for decreasing problem behaviors with young children, although it is not effective in all situations. It means that you take away your attention from your child when he/she acts in a way that is not appropriate or not desirable.
