Chapter 6 - Questions that Teach

Test Questions

Test questions require an answer that you already know. Often your child knows that you know the answer and that you are "testing" him/her. Parents might ask these types of questions to have their children label pictures or objects in some way.

Examples of Test Questions:

"What color is this?"
"What's this?" (pointing to a picture in a book)
"How many are there?" (pointing to 3 balls)
"Which one is big?"
"Where's mommy?" (mom is sitting beside the child)
