Chapter 9 - Arranging the Environment

What can I do to prevent trouble? Eight General Guidelines

Arranging the environment is often very simple. It is an effective way of changing unacceptable behavior in a positive way! Here are some general rules. You will find specific help later on in this chapter. These guidelines are:

  • CatchYour Child Being Good
  • Enrich the Environment
  • Reduce Environmental Over-Stimulation
  • Simplify the Environment
  • Restrict the Environment by Setting Boundries
  • Child Proof the Environment
  • Substitute One Activity for Another
  • Prepare Your Child for Changes in His/Her Environment
