Giving a Little Bit Example 1

Heather's skill to learn is to Use the Sign for 'More'.
Heather and her mother are together
Her mother sets things up for Giving a Little Bit by giving Heather a small piece of cookie.
Heather shows interest and communicates with her mother by pointing to the cookies on the counter.
Heather's mother responds by using a gesture that means, "What?"
Heather uses the sign for 'more'.
Heather gets a natural reward by receiving another piece of cookie.

Giving a Little Bit Example 2

Logan's skill to learn is to Label Objects.
Logan and his teacher are together
His teacher sets things up for Giving a Little Bit by giving each child a small portion of applesauce and leaving the rest of the applesauce where the children can see it.
Logan shows interest by pointing to the applesauce.
His teacher responds by asking Logan, "What do you want? Applesauce?"
Logan says, "Applesauce."
Logan gets a natural reward by receiving more applesauce and verbal praise.
