Incomplete Activities Examples

Incomplete Activities Example 1

Vatanya's concept to learn is to Share Materials.
Vatanya and her mother are together.
Her mother sets things up for Incomplete Activities by providing one bubble wand for the two children.
Vatanya's interest is in playing with the bubbles.
Her mother responds by saying, "You will have to share the wand."
Vatanya shares the wand with Eric.
She also says, "Eric, I want a turn."
Vatanya gets a natural reward by playing with bubbles and receiving praise.

Incomplete Activities Example 2

Ellie's skill to learn is to Ask for Materials
Ellie and her teacher are together.
Her teacher sets things up for Incomplete Activities by "forgetting" to give Ellie a plate.
Ellie communicates with her teacher by saying, "I don't have a plate."
Her teacher responds by asking Ellie, "What do you need to do?"
Ellie says, "Can I have a plate?"
Ellie receives a natural reward by getting a plate.
