Giving a Little Bit
Giving a Little Bit is a way to create a teaching
opportunity by giving your child a small portion of a favorite
item. In order to get more, your child starts to communicate
with you. This gives you the chance to help your child with
the skill you want to help her to learn.
Much
like Limited Access, Giving a Little Bit should never be used
to force your child to do something or to punish your child
for not being successful with a skill. If Giving a Little
Bit causes your child distress, immediately stop and pick
a different way to create a teaching opportunity.
