Partial Physical Help

Partial Physical Help Example 1

Skill: Quinnten needs to learn to Open Cans with Pull Tops.
Quinnten and his mother are together.
Quinnten wants to eat some peanuts.
He has difficulty opening the can.
His mother offers Partial Physical Help by holding his wrist to help him pull the lid.
The result is that Quinnten is able to pull the lid off the can.
The natural reward is that he is able to eat the peanuts.

Partial Physical Help Example 2

Skill: Sara needs to learn to Pour Using a Pitcher.
Sara and her teacher are together.
Sara wants a drink.
She asks her teacher for help.
Her teacher provides partial physical help by offering hand-over-hand guidance to help
Sara pour the juice.
Sara holds the cup by herself.
The result is that Sara is able to pour the juice.
The natural reward is that Sara gets a drink of juice.
